Clarens Village - A Perfect Day Trip.
The small village of Clarens, and artists haven, is perfect for a day’s exploration from Amohela ho Spitskop.
Filled with eateries from fine dining to fast food and unique boutique shops, galleries, a Rock Shop for stunning crystals, an artisan chocolate shop, and the village is well known for its hand crafted beer and cider.
The road meanders through valleys and hills and it is a scenically beautiful drive, highlighting the vast expanses of this magnificent area, with viewpoints to stop, gaze, and take many pictures.
The village itself can get quite busy over long weekends, so a weekday visit is preferable if possible. We love to eat at Clementines, with a superb menu and ambiance, wise to book a table during the week and essential over weekends.
