THE EARTHSTONE FAMILY COTTAGES...

...are comfortably furnished with well equipped kitchens with stove, microwave, family sized fridge, ample safe parking behind the cottage, and serviced daily, even on public holidays and weekends. The covered deck with weber braai is the ideal outdoor entertainment area, with long glorious evenings leading into nights with star filled skies.

The double bedrooms furnished with king or queen sized beds and twin single beds, pampering bathrooms with showers and big bath tubs, views are incredible and plenty of safe place for children to run and play, and run...and run. Water is pumped from a borehole, and, although we do ask guests to be aware of water, there is no shortage and long lovely soaks are the order of the day, with lashings of hot water for the big showers

BIRDING...

...is superb with over 250 species, Allen does wonderful nature walks, introducing guests and especially youngsters to at all aspects of the Conservancy, and has specialist knowledge of our local birds and insects. Have a look at the Memory Board made by a group of children after a weekend spent at Amohela where Allen took them out on many exploratory nature walks.

CYCLING...

...country roads around Amohela ho Spitskop as a family is precious time spent together. The vastness and beauty of the valley provides a great sense of freedom and exhilaration perfect to awaken the senses and rejuvenate the spirit.

We have mapped out three cycling routes locally from a gentle pedal to Route C (below) which is not for the fainthearted, this 45 kilometer route is a challenge.

LOCAL COUNTRY EATERIES...

...and shopping, we are seriously lucky to have some of the best. A 15 to 20 minute drive from Amohela, with indoor and outdoor seating and great safe playground areas for kids, you can find The Cabin and Constantia. Delicious breakfasts beautifully presented and served, light meals and scrumptious pizza made from locally produced stone ground flour. For the hungrier, trout from the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho, and, on Sundays, the buffet at Constantia is worth booking for. The Pot and Fork serves special fondue, and boasts the biggest hamburgers around.
